Winter Looms
Has time changed the meaning of a word? Is schlong still okay to use or just silly? I think schlong is ready for a comeback.
Welcome
Continuity errors annoy me. Marathoning the show Supernatural has made me yell more than once at the TV as characters say or do things directly in contradiction of their past. Writing is strange like that. You try to make stories that are good but it is always possible that the recipient of the story has been attentive to details you can miss. Do they interpret the a word the same way you would? Has time changed the meaning of a word? Is schlong still okay to use or just silly? I think schlong is ready for a comeback.
The Blatherbook
Our metafictional, cross-realm, social messaging platform where characters from across our fictional worlds share glimpses of their off-page lives. Oddly, it works even for those from worlds with no modern technology.
Taste
Last newsletter I posted a recipe and challenged people to try to make it in order to compare results with me. I’m here to say I horribly under-mixed mine. Here, I will go ahead and share my shame:
Doesn’t even look appetizing does it?
It came out claggy. The texture is much the same as the taint of a troll GILF (don’t ask, I regret knowing). Seriously, I considered not sharing this. I kept thinking “they’ll think I can’t even make a damn cake.”
For the record, the flavor was still good. Not great though.
And then I had a flashback. I was a few decades younger, definitely past being a young man but not middle aged yet. My bedroom companion and I had been to a local club to see a small rock band that later had some big hits for a few years. We didn’t know that then, all we knew then was we were fine to drive back to my place and we’d see what we were in the mood for from there.
What happened was predictable and none the less welcome for it. Until she had an issue. Sometimes the body does not cooperate with the mind. She was embarrassed. It was beyond her control. Some healing would have to happen. We still had fun. Was it the fun I’d hoped for? No. Objectively, could it have been better? Sure. But did I still enjoy it? Yeah. And I love that moment because it was the joy I had, not what I might have had.
So, I sat down and enjoyed every moment of imperfection of that apply claggy mess.
Touch
Pet woke up to find her master not in his usual place sprawled out, not even a hand resting on her chest as usual. Instead he was sitting on the side of the bed with goggles and in a labcoat. This worried her as the last time it happened it was because he became convinced that atomic gastronomy should be a thing, the government was around asking about isotopes and the staff at CERN were debating if he should be invited for a talk or banned for life.
And that’s when she noticed the blue police box in the corner. It was way too early for this shit. “What is that doing here?”
“You have tea.” He pointed to her bedside.
“Thank you,” she said.
“Apparently I watched too much BBC as a child.” She sipped the tea, fully aware that he would answer the question once his brain got around to that part of things. “It seems I invented time travel.”
“You invented time travel last night? Within.” She looked at her phone, “seven hours.”
“No, at some future point, I dropped this off but then ran off saying I was going to test a theory about the virgin queen. I seemed excited, which is odd since I’ve never really been into history. Anyway... “
He stood up and took off the coat and goggles.
“So, if you weren’t doing the inventing, why the outfit?”
“Oh, I was putting together a cosplay for that sci fi writer’s con when future me showed up.”
“Well, that makes perfect sense.”
It is way too early for this, she thought. Putting together a police box stand in for a gag is a bit much even for him in one of his moods though. And then he’s not even connecting the outfit to the police box. That meant an extra special mood.
Entering the police box, the door shut behind the hairy writer as lights and sounds turned on.
Great the bloody thing has electronics too, pet thought.
Immediately he ejected.
“Sir, what are you … sir, I’m trying to talk to … oh well it’s not like I mend but “ pet was now inner back and her master’s face was sucking while his hand went to work tending pet’s garden.
“I want you pet,” he growled in her ear as he mounted her.
Pet had a thought but decided to not pursue it as she chased that knot to release. Everything was fine until a shuffle happened and suddenly there was a second presence. pet’s eyes flew open as she felt herself sandwiched between two large builds.
The two identical hands high five and as pet felt an unmistakable feeling entering the front and back doors together.
“Sirs …” she grunted. Then her mouth was filled. The feeing was amazing, completely filled, it was a bit overwhelming, his presence, large and physical, multiplied made her feel extra small and surrounded. And the. She passed out.
Awakening pet realized that only one Sir remained but the scent of all of them lay on them like a blanket. And the Time Machine was gone. Thank goodness, one’s enough. Well, most of the time. With that she pulled his arm tight and went back to sleep.
Watch
This month I am point to point your watching eyes away from the radiant planes of video to the pages of drawn charming filth.
Tease Me Harder by Fumika Minami is a sweet and wholesome filthy romance published by Seven Seas Entertainment in English translation. As of this writing only the first volume is available in English though two more are already scheduled for a 2026 release. The story centers around Mahiro, who has graduated university and working in a respectable job. He is dating Yuka, who is harboring a secret - she loves BDSM. She’s never done any of the things she reads about she has fantasies and after accidentally sending a lewd pic to Mahiro she fearfully admits her deviant pleasures to him. Mahiro, being a good guy swears to be the best sadist he can to satisfy her. She is on cloud nine, about to live her fantasies while he is terrified of the new responsibility he has not only as her boyfriend but her top. The story is sweet, the characters fumbling, the art in a style that contrasts the risque content.
Listen
I will mention the the story A Wild Bunny Girl in the next section and thinking about it made me realize I should cut a soundtrack for it. What would be good songs for the story as Josh and Brooke discovery each other?
Rain Go Away by Allison Krauss and Union Station would be a good fit for the first act near the back garden. Played softly in the background the upbeat tone matches the not-quite lovers as they tease each other.
The Spin Doctors’ Jimmy Olsen Blues matches the vibe of the second act in the comic book shop with a nod and a wink.
Finally, for the indulgent third act, Shape of You by Ed Sheeran.
Words
I’m supposed to keep folks up to date here. I finished the rough draft of A Wild Bunny Girl. I’m actively working on projects for Liam and Leann - rpg fiction and sweet sapphic romance along with the modern rewrite of A Man with a Maiden so keep tuned. I have much more coming. For now I would appreciate clicks on this shared book discovery thing:
hej då!
Next time we meet we will be at the end of harvest, yet another season I love.
